🪳 PLUS: This Cockroach is a Remote-Controlled Spy

A German startup called SWARM Biotactics is turning real cockroaches into tiny spies. They use electronic "backpacks" to control the bugs and steer them into tight or dangerous places where robots can’t fit.

💡 Here’s what you should know:

  • Electronic Control: The "backpacks" send tiny electrical signals to the roach's antennae, allowing humans to steer them like a remote-control car.

  • Built-in Tech: Each roach carries a tiny camera, a microphone, and an AI chip to gather information in real-time.

  • Nature’s Advantage: Since they are living bugs, they don't need large batteries, they can climb walls, and they are very cheap to produce.

  • The Goal: These cyborg insects are designed for search-and-rescue in collapsed buildings or for scouting risky environments undetected.

THAT’S A WRAP
