CLOUD COMPUTING ☁️
🤓 How to Ace the AWS Technical Account Manager Interview
Technical Account Managers act as strategic partners to AWS customers, guiding them to ensure best practices are followed.
In the application process, the technical interview is one of the most key components because it assesses your ability to support AWS customers in optimizing their Cloud environments.
The technical interview will evaluate your technical knowledge, architectural reviews capability, and customer interaction skills.
Here’s how you can prepare:
#1 Technical Knowledge
Like most technical interviews, your theoretical and practical understanding of AWS services and cloud computing concepts will be assessed.
My advice is to go to the interview prepared by reviewing your knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda and S3, and fundamental cloud computing concepts including security, scalability, etc.
Sample Question: Can you explain the difference between Amazon EC2 and AWS Lambda, and when you would recommend using one over the other for a customer's workload?
#2 Architectural Reviews
You might be asked to evaluate and provide feedback on existing customer architectures, infrastructure designs, and/or deployment plans.
Hiring managers would like to see your problem-solving skills, and your understanding of the AWS ecosystem and industry standards.
This is the perfect time to make the best recommendation possible in lines with AWS’ customer-centric approach.
Sample Question: Imagine a scenario where a customer with an e-Commerce store has requested an architectural review of their Cloud environment. How would you approach conducting this review, and what criteria would you consider in evaluating the architecture?
#3 Interacting With Customers
During the interview, AWS will provide you with some role-playing exercises that simulate customer interactions.
You’re expected to demonstrate your effective communication skills, understand your customers’ requirements, and provide guidance to address possible setbacks and/or challenges.
You may also be asked to showcase your ability in performing presentations, write technical guides, and even explain your past achievements related to customer engagement.
Sample Question: Can you describe a situation where you successfully managed a challenging customer support engagement related to a Cloud issue, and how you ensured a positive outcome for the customer?
💼 Sample Technical Interview Questions
Here are some more sample questions that hiring managers might ask you in an AWS Technical Account Manager interview.
Architectural Reviews:
What key areas do you focus on when reviewing an AWS architecture for security best practices?
Describe the process of identifying cost optimization opportunities in a customer's AWS environment.
Customer Engagement:
Describe how you would handle a situation where a customer is resistant to adopting recommended AWS best practices.
What approach would you take to educate customers about the latest AWS services relevant to their business?
Incident Management:
How do you prioritize and manage critical incidents affecting AWS services for multiple customers?
Describe your approach to communicating with customers during a service disruption.

🤫 PLUS: A New Text-to-Image Model Beats Midjourney
Black Forest Labs, an AI startup launched its text-to-image model, FLUX.1 that outperforms its rivals like Midjourney 6.0 and DALL-E 3 HD.
💡Here’s what you should know:
The model demonstrates excellent performance in image detail, scene complexity, and prompt adherence
It employs rotary positional embeddings to help the model manage long sequences more effectively
The model is also able to analyze multiple parts of a sequence at once, which accelerates the process of converting visual noise into a unified image
FLUX.1 is ready for use on Fal and Replicate now.
THAT’S A WRAP
