Today, I’ll share my thoughts on the pros and cons of taking the AWS AI Practitioner Certification. I’ll also be sharing some new AI features on Apple’s new iPhone 16 and 16 Pro.

💻 Is the AWS AI Practitioner Cert Worth It?
Are you interested in taking the AWS AI Practitioner Certification but unsure how it’ll benefit your career?
Here are the topics and skills you’ll encounter based on the official exam guide:
Fundamentals of AI and ML
Fundamentals of Generative AI
Applications of Foundation Models
Guidelines for Responsible AI
Security, Compliance, and Governance of AI Solutions
As more companies adopt AI solutions into their operations, having a solid understanding of AI topics and concepts could enhance your career prospects.
You don’t necessarily need to be a tech expert or a coder to benefit from having an AI certification.
Because many businesses are also seeking individuals who can connect business needs with technical solutions.
Ultimately, this AI certification can help you become that valuable link between business and tech.
Getting certified in AI can also have a positive impact on your salary.
In fact, according to an AWS study, employers are willing to pay 41% more for professionals skilled in AI within business operations and 47% more for IT professionals.

👩🏻💻 What to Consider Before Taking Your AI Cert Exam
Now that you know how this certification could enhance your career prospects, here are some things to consider before you take the certification exam:
#1 Solid Foundation in AI/ML Concepts
This certification provides a great introduction to AI and ML for beginners, giving you a solid foundation for more advanced certifications or roles in the future.
However, if you’re already working in a technical role, or have prior experience with AI/ML, this foundational-level certification might be too general for you.
#2 Basic AWS Knowledge
Other than AI/ML concepts, this certification will also challenge your understanding of basic Cloud concepts and AWS services.
If you’re completely new to the Cloud industry, I’d recommend starting with the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification first.
#3 Shorter Study Time
Compared to other AWS certifications, the study time for this certification is relatively quicker because it’s a foundational-level exam.
Even if you haven’t gotten much exposure to the Cloud, it shouldn't take longer than 2 months of consistent study for you to prepare well for the exam.

Apple recently introduced several new AI capabilities via Apple Intelligence, such as real-world object recognition, custom emoji creation, and many more.
💡Here’s what you need to know:
The new iPhone 16 and 16 Pro models will feature Camera Control, which could identify objects and places through the camera lens
The new Apple Intelligence will allow you to access and browse ChatGPT directly through Siri, without needing to switch apps
There will be a new feature called Image Playground, which leverages AI to generate visual content based on text prompts
You can also create your own emojis by typing descriptions or inserting photos
The new iPhone models will be available for sale on September 20.
