Hi friends, welcome back to Cloudbites

In this newsletter, I’ll share the roadmap I’d follow to learn AWS in 2026 from scratch.

You’ll see how AI is making cloud learning faster, clearer, and more practical.

Plus, we’ll look at Meta’s new SAM 3D release, an AI model that can turn any 2D image into a full 3D reconstruction.

CLOUD COMPUTING ☁️

🤖 How I’d Learn AWS in 2026 (After 5 Years in Cloud)

After 5 years of experience, here's how I would learn Cloud if I were to start from scratch:

Step 1: Learn the theory

Start by getting a basic knowledge of Cloud and AWS.

Use AI to break down topics, provide analogies, and create practice quizzes.

Companies want T-shaped people: broad cloud knowledge and deep expertise in one area. Knowing how to prompt AI effectively is a skill.

Step 2: Build real projects

Hiring managers struggle to find strong candidates with hands-on experience. Hands-on experience means real-world projects built in the cloud.

Projects help you understand how AWS services connect and build intuition on what to use in each scenario.

Step 3: Fill knowledge gaps through practice

Learning cloud isn’t a straight path, it’s impossible to master every concept. Identify the gaps and fill them through practice.

Once you’ve learnt the fundamentals and built projects, you’ll see topics you need to go deeper on.

Step 4: Document & Show Your Work

Make your work visible, document everything on GitHub, LinkedIn, or Medium.

Building your personal brand opens opportunities like job offers, freelance work, and collaborations.

💡 My Advice:

Master one cloud. Once you're strong in AWS, the others become easier because the fundamentals are the same.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) 🤖

⚡ PLUS: Meta Introduces SAM 3D, an AI for 3D images

Meta has unveiled SAM 3D, a first-of-its-kind AI system that can turn any 2D image into a full 3D object, human body, or entire scene, all in seconds.

💡 Here’s what you should know:

  • This is the biggest leap in 3D reconstruction AI we've seen, moving beyond segmentation into full physical-world understanding.

  • It can rebuild objects, interiors, and even human bodies from a single photo with near-real-time accuracy.

  • Meta has opened a new Segment Anything Playground where anyone can try the tech using their own images.

  • It signals the start of AI-powered 3D perception, a space that’s expected to explode in 2026 as models move from flat images to full spatial intelligence.
