In this newsletter, I’ll share how I learn technical things 10x faster using a method that actually works.

You’ll also learn how I use a visual-first approach to stay consistent and remember complex topics more easily.

🧠 How I Learn Technical Things 10x Faster

Here’s something I rarely admit: I’m not good at studying in the traditional way.

Reading documentation and watching long tutorials never worked for me.

I used to blame myself for not being able to grasp new concepts or memorize technical material.

But everything changed when I discovered a learning technique that completely transformed how I approach technical topics.

It helped me get certified, stay consistent, and most importantly, enjoy the process.

If you're trying to level up your skills this year, this might be the shift you need.

Understand Your Learning Style

The first step is understanding what type of learner you are.

Are you someone who learns by listening? Watching? Writing? Doing?

For me, the breakthrough came when I realised I’m a visual learner.

Text-heavy content and long tutorials never worked. But when I see a concept as a diagram or slide, it clicks instantly.

And I’m not alone. According to Google, around 65% of people are visual learners.

If you’ve struggled with traditional study methods, it’s worth finding your learning style.

Here are some examples:

• Visual learners: Use diagrams, slides, flowcharts, or visual tools to understand concepts.

• Reading/Writing learners: Take notes or summarise material.

• Auditory learners: Listen to podcasts, join discussions, or read aloud.

• Kinesthetic learners: Focus on hands-on projects and active practice.

Knowing this is the foundation. Once you learn in the way that works for you, everything else becomes easier.

🔁 How I Actually Remember What I Learn

After figuring out I’m a visual learner, I started using active recall and it changed everything.

Active recall is the process of pulling information from memory without relying on notes or passive review

I make slides with diagrams and simple examples, then try to explain the ideas in my own words to make sure I really get them.

To make this easier, I use Gamma, an AI tool that turns technical topics into clean, ready-to-review slide decks.

It saves time, adds analogies, and makes recall easier, especially for visual learners.

🤖 Grok 4 is Here! AI That Gets Memes and Images

Elon Musk’s xAI has launched Grok 4, a new AI model that can understand text, images, and even memes.

It’s built directly into X (formerly Twitter) and is designed to be less filtered than other chatbots.

Grok 4 is meant to compete with tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini, but with its own twist, more freedom and built-in social media support.
