Hi friends, welcome back to Cloudbites. Today I’ll be sharing the first 3 steps I’d take, if I had to learn cloud from scratch. I’ll also provide some bonus mindset hacks to keep yourself motivated when learning.

☁️ How I would learn AWS Cloud if I could Start Over

  1. Learn what “the Cloud” is

First, get a basic understanding of Cloud Computing by watching this simple explainer video on the AWS Official Youtube Channel.

If there are any terms that sound unfamiliar, like “physical data centers” or “networking”, fill in these gaps by doing some research online.

After this, you can dive a bit deeper by learning about AWS services, the different pricing models and the benefits of using AWS.

  2. Obtain an AWS Certification (or two)

Next, I’d complete the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification. This shows employers you have a foundational understanding of AWS and provides a structured learning path.

Check out this video I made about how I passed the AWS CCP exam in just 3 weeks.

I’d also recommend getting the AWS SAA Certification. It requires a deeper knowledge of AWS and focuses more on architectural patterns and solutions.

  3. Get Hands-On

💡 Bonus Mindset Hacks when Learning AWS

  1. You don’t need to follow a super linear approach. Switching up your study routine can help you stay motivated.

  2. Always remember your why. Why did you choose to embark on your journey?

  3. Be kind to yourself. Take breaks when you need, to avoid burnout.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading! 😊
