🤓 The AWS AI Practitioner Certification Exam
I just passed my AWS AI Practitioner Certification!
The AWS AI Practitioner Certification Exam is one of the many Cloud certifications offered by AWS.
It’s designed to validate your knowledge of AI, machine learning, generative AI concepts, and use cases.
Passing this exam means you’ll receive a foundational-level certification that could give you a competitive edge in roles like business analysts, IT support, marketing, etc.
The (beta) exam has 85 questions and takes around 2 hours to complete.
It’s priced at $75 (USD), and you could take it online, or at a local test center.
Once the beta period ends, the standard exam version will have 65 questions and priced at a higher rate.
🚀 5 Tips for Passing the Exam
#1 Gain some basic AWS knowledge
Before taking any AWS certifications, it’s important to have a solid foundation on AWS services and knowledge.
If you already have some AWS knowledge or experience using AWS services, you can start with reviewing your understanding.
This will give you an idea of your current knowledge level and concepts that you find challenging and require more revisions.
#2 Identify knowledge gaps by taking practice exams
Once you’ve gained a solid AWS knowledge, I’d recommend you to take some practice exams to track your progress.
The results from these mock exams can be used to reinforce your studies and guide your revision, concentrating on the areas where you can improve on.
The more practice exams you take, the more familiar you’ll become with the question format and the types of scenarios you may encounter.
#3 Set a realistic goal
A mindset that I always try to adopt when taking an exam is that, instead of striving for a perfect score, aim to achieve at least the passing mark 70%.
Having this mindset will help you to reduce unnecessary stress and clear your thinking process.
Setting a realistic target can get you to focus on understanding how to apply core principles rather than memorizing every detail.
#4 Schedule your exam during your most-alert time
Aligning your exam time with your natural peak performance hours can help you stay sharp and perform at your best.
For example, since I am most productive in the morning, I chose the 10 AM slot for this exam.
If you’re more productive in the evenings, you could consider scheduling your exam for later in the day.
#5 Active, hands-on learning
Practical experience is key to reinforce your theoretical knowledge.
One way to do this is by experimenting with the services covered in the exam guide through AWS Free Tier to help you prepare.
Getting some hands-on practice with tools like Amazon SageMaker could also deepen your understanding and make it easier to recall functionalities of different AWS services during the exam.

This set of study notes is best for those looking to get this certification, or are already studying for it.
I’ve formatted the study notes to ensure it dives deep into exactly what you need to know about the exam requirements and how to pass.

🤫 PLUS: Gemini Can Create AI-Generated People Again
Google just relaunched its AI image generation capability through Gemini. This allows users to create images of people again after it was previously paused due to issues with historical inaccuracies.
💡Here’s what you should know about the updated version:
It uses Imagen 3, Google’s latest AI text-to-image generator that could create a wider range of image types, from photorealistic landscapes to textured paintings
There are new built-in safeguards embedded to prevent historically inaccurate images, addressing the concerns earlier this year
Gemini won’t support the creation of photorealistic images of public figures, content involving minors, or any inappropriate scenes, ensuring adherence to ethical and safety standards
The updated version of Gemini will initially be available to Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise users in English.
Broader expansion and ongoing improvements will be implemented based on user feedback.
