Hi friends, welcome back to Cloudbites. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in my career, is keeping up with all the new things to learn about in the tech space. Today, I want to share with you some of self-study strategies that have helped me along the way.
📖 My Top Strategies to self-study Technical Topics
Start Broad, Not Deep: When studying a new topic, it's important to understand the big picture first, before diving too deep straight away. This will give you a clear roadmap of what to study, allowing you to spend your time effectively.
Learn Just Enough: Sometimes it's not about how many hours you study, but how many of those hours bring you closer to your goals. Try to focus on what interests you and what will push your career forward, rather than attempting to learn everything.
Get Hands-On: There's no substitute for practical experience. Whether it's coding, cloud services or AI, try to work with the technology you're learning about as much as possible.
Gamify Your Learning: Make your learning process fun and interactive, kind of like a game. You could set up personal milestones, weekly learning goals, or even have a competition with friends.
Take Good Notes: Creating one-page summaries or cheat sheets of key points can be incredibly useful. These will help you understand and remember the topic better, and are easy to refer back to.
👩💻 Zero-to-Mastery Learning Platform
When it comes to gaining practical experience, one platform I've personally found very useful is Zero to Mastery. This all-in-one learning platform offers up-to-date courses in Cloud, Machine Learning, Python, and more. With a subscription, you get access to their courses, workshops, and a community of over 400,000 other students.
