Hi friends, welcome back to Cloudbites

CLOUD COMPUTING ☁️

☁️ The Biggest Lie About "Entry-Level" Cloud Jobs

Have you ever seen an entry-level cloud job asking for 2-3 years of experience? It's confusing.

If it's an entry-level role, why do you already need experience?

Here's what many people don't realize: Companies aren't always looking for work experience. They're looking for proof that you have the skills.

That proof can come from:

  • AWS projects

  • A GitHub portfolio

  • Hands-on labs

  • Open-source contributions

  • Freelance or internship experience

That's why a few strong projects can sometimes matter more than an AWS certification.

Some companies treat experience as a requirement, others see it as a guideline.

If you have the skills, don't let a job description stop you from applying.

💡 How to Build Experience Without a Cloud Job

So, how do you build cloud experience without getting hired first?

Here are 5 ways to start building it today:

#1 Build projects that solve real problems

Instead of creating basic demo projects, build something you can confidently talk about in an interview.

#2 Document everything on GitHub

Add a clear README, architecture diagram, screenshots, and deployment steps.

#3 Learn by doing

Follow AWS workshops, build labs, break things, and fix them. That's how real learning happens.

#4 Share what you learn

Write LinkedIn posts or short blogs about your projects. Teaching others is a great way to reinforce your own knowledge.

#5 Contribute to open source

Even small contributions show that you can collaborate with others and work on real projects.

Remember, employers aren't just hiring people with experience. They're hiring people who can prove they have the skills.

👀 PLUS: Your WhatsApp Number May Not Matter Anymore

WhatsApp has started rolling out username reservations, allowing users to claim a unique username before the feature launches globally later this year.

💡 Here's what you should know:

  • More privacy: Soon, you'll be able to chat with new people without sharing your phone number.

  • Reserve yours early: WhatsApp is opening reservations now so users can secure the username they want before the full rollout.

  • No public directory: People won't be able to search for usernames. They'll need to know your exact username to contact you.

  • Why it matters: This is one of WhatsApp's biggest updates in years, giving users more privacy while making it easier to connect without exchanging phone numbers

THAT’S A WRAP
