Hi friends, welcome back to Cloudbites
In this newsletter, I'll be breaking down five cloud careers to consider for 2027, including what each role involves, skills, and salary.
I'll share a few ways to figure out which role might be the right fit for you.
Plus, we’ll take a look at Meta’s new AI agent, Muse Spark Open.
CLOUD COMPUTING ☁️
☁️ Top 5 Cloud Computing Careers for 2027
Cloud is still a great career path for 2027, but the roles are changing as AI takes on more routine tasks.
Some roles are becoming more specialised, while others now require a mix of Cloud and AI skills.
So, which Cloud career should you aim for in 2027?
🎥 Check out my video on the top 5 Cloud computing careers for 2027, where I break down each role, the skills you need, and the salary ranges.
💡Which Cloud Career Should You Choose?
Here are five Cloud careers worth considering, depending on your interests and experience:
#1 Cloud AI Engineer
Combines Cloud infrastructure with AI deployment. A good option if you already know Cloud and want to move into AI.
#2 Cloud Architect
Designs the Cloud environments that applications and workloads run on. This role usually requires several years of experience.
#3 Cloud Engineer
Builds and maintains Cloud infrastructure. It's a strong starting point for learning the fundamentals, although AI is changing the day-to-day work.
#4 DevOps Engineer
Focuses on automation, CI/CD pipelines, and making software deployments faster and more reliable.
#5 Cloud Security Engineer
Protects Cloud environments and data from security threats. A good fit if you're interested in cybersecurity.
The takeaway? Don't try to learn every Cloud skill at once. Start with the role that fits your interests, build your foundations, and specialise as you gain experience.

🤯 PLUS: Meta's New AI Model Can Run Locally
Meta has released Muse Spark Open, an open-weight AI model built for coding, complex software engineering, and AI agents.
Developers can download its weights and run it on their own hardware instead of relying entirely on cloud-based AI services.
💡 Here's what you should know:
The model has 816 billion parameters, with 42 billion active per token.
It supports a one-million-token context window for processing large amounts of information.
It can handle complex coding tasks and multi-step workflows.
It can run locally using two Apple Mac Studios with M5 Ultra chips, although this requires powerful, expensive hardware.
This is another step towards giving developers more control over where they run AI models and how they build applications with them.
THAT’S A WRAP
